Damages to seeds, larvae (caterpillars), silkworm and their cocoons which are fed on tables, shelves or ground-based systems and registered in the record systems of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, shall be compensated in accordance with the principles and conditions set forth below.
The insurance covers the seeds, larvae (caterpillars), silkworms and their cocoons located in the insured silkworm facility against direct damages caused by;
in accordance with the General Conditions, Tariff and Instructions.
POLICY ISSUANCE
The producer who has registered his/her Silkworm facility in the registration systems determined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry applies to the insurance company or agency that is a member of the Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSİM).
Following the registration of the preliminary information form, which is edited by the policy holder / insured, to the system; Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSİM) initiates the control and risk assessment organization. According to the result of the risk assessment, the insurance company or agency issue the policy in the system in accordance with the General Conditions and Tariffs & Instructions of State Supported Silkworm Insurance. For the issued policy, the Information Text within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), the Policy Information Form and the policy printouts are sent by TARSİM to our insured producers as SMS or e-mail, depending on their preference. If our insured producer prefers to receive his/her policy in printed form, the agency first obtains the Information Text within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the Policy Information Form in two copies from the system and gives one copy to the insured in return for signature. Afterwards, two copies of the prepared policy are prepared and one copy is given to the insured/insured producer.
PREMIUM PAYMENT
In Silkworm Insurance, 50% of the premium written in the policy is subsidized by Government.
CLAIM NOTIFICATION / LOSS ADJUSTMENT / PAYMENT PROCESS
In silkworm insurance, in the event that any of the insured risks occurred policy holder / insured shall make the claim notification to TARSİM Call Center 172, 24 hours as of the date of the risk occurrence, directly or through the agencies. Also, policy holder / insured could make the claim notification through TARSIM Mobile application, regardless of time and place.
The reason, nature and extent of the damage incurred shall be determined through an assessment conducted by loss adjusters appointed by the Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSİM).
Following the completion of the loss file, finalized indemnity amounts are paid to the insured by the Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSİM) via the bank channel within 30 days at the latest.
